The same gentleman who built our main shelves generously built an addition for me, because I kept getting more game donations, and I can't say no to new games! One of my favorite things about the new shelves is that they're the perfect height to do puzzles on, and there are currently 2 in puzzles in process now.
The Pub also now owns it's FIRST pinball machine, sure we've had machines in here since the beginning, but all those machines, and the rest of my current machines are owned and managed by Another Castle down the street. I saw that they were making a Weird Al pinball machine and I went for it.
Another fun change is that the Pub is now officially a member of the Downtown Bremerton Association, as well as an official venue for the First Friday Art Walks. We have hosted 2 amazing artists so far, and can't wait to showcase new art every month.
First Friday's also bring a new Smokestack (https://kitsapsmokestack.org/) where you can read a free independent print publication about Kitsap and what's going on. It's rad and I highly suggest you check it out! Copies are on the bar, but also at multiple locations around town.
We also have merch! Hoodies, shirts, tank-tops, totes, and stickers. Come get yours and rep your favorite board game pub.
Just in case you don't already know, we have lots of monthly events! These include my favorite weekly Friday night pinball tournaments at 7pm, amateur only! $5 buy in, but you'll need quarters too. First Friday is Split Flip, where 2 person teams play, one person controls one flipper, the other controls the other flipper. It's so fun!
Every 2nd Wednesday is Dungeon City at 6pm. B/X style old school DnD. No need to make a character beforehand. No commitment necessary, novices welcome.
There is an LGBTQIA+ Queermunity Meetup 2nd & 4th Wed, 1st & 3rd Sun
Every Tuesday is a Game & Greet where you can learn new games and meet new people!
Ballast Books also hosts 2 book clubs at the Pub, Book Club At The End Of The Universe, a sci-fi book club that meets every 2nd Monday, and Fantastic Books, a fantasy book club that meets every 4th Thursday.
